After three years of completely free exhibitions, in addition to free admission, the Toledo Museum of Art has two outstanding ticketed exhibitions on the schedule for the upcoming year. On Friday, October 29 The Egypt Experience: Secrets of the Tomb opens in a newly renovated exhibition space on the Museum’s lower level off Herrick Lobby. The mummies will return for this extended engagement, along with funerary art from the TMA collection and four other lending institutions. Tickets are $10 adults/$8 seniors and $5 students but Museum members receive free, unlimited admission.
In March, The Baroque World of Fernando Botero opens with a lavish display of the Colombian artist’s larger than life paintings, drawings and sculptures. His zaftig figures will charm and challenge audiences. Tickets, $15/$12/$5 for non-members, will again be free to members.
