Temporary Road Closure for Sculpture Installation

Due to the installation of Paula, one of the outdoor sculptures featured in Jaume Plensa: Human Landscape, several areas of the Museum campus will be restricted Wednesday, June 1.

Southbound Monroe Street in front of the Museum will be closed from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic will be rerouted behind the Museum via Art Museum Drive. Please use caution as this route goes past the main parking lots and main entrance to the Museum. An officer from the Toledo Police Department will be on site to help direct traffic and assist visitors crossing the street from the parking lot. Northbound traffic on Monroe Street in front of the Museum will be unaffected.

In addition to the temporary street closure, some pedestrian access will be restricted and redirected. Visitors will be unable to exit Libbey Court to Monroe Street, access the Monroe Street Terrace, or use the crosswalk to the Glass Pavilion. When crossing Monroe Street to go to the Glass Pavilion, visitors are asked to cross at the light in front the The Plaza apartments or the intersection of Parkwood Ave. and Monroe Street, near the Perisyle Terrace entrance. Signs will be set up along the sidewalk to help guide visitors during the installation of Paula.

The Toledo Museum of Art appreciates your patience as we prepare for the opening Jaume Plensa: Human Landscape.
