Collectors usually have a passion for what they collect and the staff at the Toledo Museum of Art is no exception.  From childhood memories to distinguished taste in fine arts, the reasons for collecting are as unique as the individuals who collect them. A Place to Call Home:
Martin Luther King Jr. and the Struggle for Fair Housing

April 25-June 22 | Little Theater Gallery
Although his tragic deadth coincided wtih the law's inception, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was a staunch supporter of the Fair Housing Act. To honor the 40th anniversaries of both events, TMA presents this exhibition of photographs by celebrated photographer, Bernie Kleina, who captured powerful and rare full-color photographs of Dr. King during the Chicago Freedom Movement March, one of the highlights of his fight for equal housing opportunities.

Continuing Tradition: Celebrating Juneteenth
May 23-July 6 | Community Gallery
Our fourth annual Juneteenth Celebration is just around the corner, and the excitement builds early as we present this exhibition of works by local African American artists, featuring paintings, photography, collage, textiles, sculpture, and much more.
