Teachers, home educators, university professors, and students are invited to get a new perspective on life-long learning at TMA’s Resource Center for Educators (RCE). The RCE provides thousands of FREE educational materials that integrate art into math, social studies, language arts, history, and more. From Discovery Boxes with hands-on learning tools to sample lesson plans that align with Academic Content Standards, the Museum’s RCE offers great ways to enliven students’ learning experience through art. Discovery Boxes
Get your students excited about learning with our popular Discovery Boxes. Available for a variety of subjects and grade levels, these exciting learning tools include DVDs, CD-roms, activity sheets, lesson plans, games, posters, handling objects, and more. Rental fees for a three-week period are $5 for Museum Members and $7 for non-members. A $25 deposit is required (check or credit card only). View a list of available Discovery Boxes.
New Teachers' Guide
Our teacher’s guide to the Glass Pavilion introduces your students to a variety of concepts and topics, from science to social studies. Filled with fun facts, interesting information, and enlightening activities, the guide addresses Academic Content Standards and is suitable for grades four through eight. Teacher Inservices
Discover TMA’s invaluable educator resources most relevant to your area of interest—schedule a teacher inservice. Offered in half- or full-day sessions, TMA inservices provide gallery activities, lesson plans, curriculum materials aligned with Academic Content Standards, and hands-on studio experiences. For a minimum of 10 teachers, the cost per person is only $20 for a half day or $30 for a full day. For more information, call 419-254-5076.
