Mike Thaman is the former Chairman of the Board of Owens Corning, a world leader in insulation, roofing, and fiberglass composites. Mr. Thaman was named a member of the Board of Directors of Owens Corning in January 2002 and elected Chairman later that year. He served as Chief Executive Officer from 2007 to 2019. Thaman joined the company in 1992, and held positions in manufacturing, corporate development, and international business. He was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in April 2000. Prior to joining Owens Corning, Thaman spent six years as a strategy consultant at Mercer Management Consulting in the New York office. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Princeton University.
