In the center of this print, on a plinth beneath a military trophy, is a scene illustrating the “Triumph of Galatea,” a beautiful sea nymph of Greek mythology. Foliate patterns, surmounted by hawk-like phoenixes, flank the central image. Two putti support collections of instruments and sea shells at the bottom.
