Surrounded by three putti and dense foliate patterns, a hanging cloth in a cartouche presents a scene of Diana, virgin goddess of the hunt, and Actaeon, the hunter who spies on the bathing goddess and her attendants. As punishment for his transgression against Diana, Actaeon is turned into a stag and ripped apart by his own hounds.
