As this print lacks the printed inscription found on published examples in the Gazette des Beaux-Arts, it was probably printed as a test sometime around 1865. Like the earlier state shown next to it, this is a rare impression. Along with having the aforementioned inscription, published examples of this scene appear to be more heavily etched, creating richer areas of dark tones.
