William Reindel was a member of the Cleveland Society of Artists, the Chicago Society of Illustrators, and the Chicago Society of Etchers. He produced more than 150 prints during his career. Most of his work was made using the technique of drypoint. Drypoint plates produce a relatively limited number of prints before they wear excessively. Reindel rarely made more than 25 images from each plate.
