Storytelling in Miniature

Donald Shaw MacLaughlan
American (born Canada), 1876–1938

Draught Horses

Etching, 1906
1 x 6 3/4 in.
Gift of Alice Roullier, 1933.216

The subject of this print and the one on the following page, both produced while MacLaughlan lived in France, undoubtedly resonated with the artist. As a farm boy in Canada during the late 19th century he would have been very familiar with teams of draught horses.
