John Taylor Arms
American, 1887–1953

Indian Head (Adirondack Mountains)

Aquatint, 1921
3 x 2 1/4 in.
Gift of Doreen C. Spitzer in memory of Mr. & Mrs. Ward M. Canaday, 1976.125

This print was produced relatively early in John Taylor Arms’s career, before he fully embarked on his life-long passion of representing Gothic architecture. It is a finely rendered interpretation of a natural rock formation located several miles east of Lake Placid, New York.
