The Toledo Museum of Art was founded in 1901 by local business and community leaders for the enjoyment and education of all. Among them was famed businessman Edward Drummond Libbey, who brought the glass industry to Toledo, and his wife Florence Scott Libbey. Over the past 100 years, TMA has become a world-renowned Museum and beloved gem to its community. Business Council membership was created as a way for corporations to carry on the legacy of TMA’s founders and support the Museum.
Business Council membership is renewed annually and provides vital operating support. While the Libbeys left a generous endowment to the Museum, it is those who follow in their philanthropic footsteps today that enable TMA to provide extraordinary services to our community. Your Business Council membership helps support free admission, world-class exhibitions, and community outreach programs. Please consider joining other corporate leaders in supporting the Toledo Museum of Art.
