Studio Glass Pioneers: Littleton and Labino

Harvey Littleton

Dominick Labino
Two of the most important artists of the American Studio Glass Movement were Harvey Littleton and Dominick Labino. Both shared a conviction that glass had a potential for art that had not yet been tapped in the mid-20th century. Their early experiments proved the viability of glass as a material that could be shaped by an artist in his or her studio with the use of a small furnace.
