The Riddle of the Girl and the Creature

Her eyes are the sea,
An aquamarine abyss full of mystery.
Her lips are the color of the flowers that surround her
Like hot pink crayons.
Her cheeks flush,
as if colored by the petals.
She gawks at some Creature on the other side of the greenery,
Who is peering at her with an eerie grin.
Or is it a kind smile?
Their view of each other is cross-hatched,
Yet the menacing feeling persists.
Who is this Creature?
How can he create such a riddle in the girl?
The answer lies within the foliage.
That is perpetual and relentless.
