“A great museum must have a great library.”

The League was founded in 1984 to help expand awareness of the needs of the Toledo Museum of Art’s Reference Library and to help support those needs.

The League has contributed more than $125,000 from member dues and book sale proceeds. Funding provides for major art reference books, electronic resources, special library projects and programming.

The League sponsors the museum’s art book club, annual book sale and other special library-related programs.

The League provides the following membership benefits: invitations to curator and special guest lectures, our Annual Spring Trip and meeting, a preview of the annual book sale, and library borrowing privileges.
