The Toledo Museum of Art's 36-acre campus includes buildings by award-winning architects, the Georgia and David K. Welles Sculpture Garden, the Rita B. Kern Sensory Garden, a community garden, and a playground. It's an urban oasis of parkland with more than 200 trees representing more than 50 species, plus dozens of species of shrubs, flowers, and other plants. Like the Museum's art collection, many of these trees and plants are identified with informational labels, made possible by the generosity of Rita B. Kern. These astonishing grounds are overseen by a team of groundskeepers, including Kevin McGreevy and Macon Mauchmar who will share their favorite trees and places on this tour.
