EAR|EYE concert series continues at the Toledo Museum of Art with free performance Friday, Jan. 31
The EAR|EYE Concert Series continues its fifth year at the Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) with a free concert Friday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. in the Wolfe Gallery. The concert series features students from Bowling Green State University’s (BGSU) College of Musical Arts doctoral program performing in the Museum’s galleries with introductions by Ryan Ebright, BGSU’s assistant professor of musicology and Scott Boberg, TMA’s manager of programs and audience engagement.
BGSU students will perform music from composers Marcos Balter, Elliott Carter, Michael Finnissy, André Jolivet, and Mikel Kuehn in the Wolfe Gallery, which has several new works of art on view.
“The Toledo Museum of Art is excited to continue this concert series in the Wolfe Gallery, a space specifically designed for contemporary art,” said Boberg. “The evening will encourage visitors to engage with the art by prompting close looking and consideration of the connection between visual and auditory forms.”
EAR|EYE is supported in part by the Dorothy MacKenzie Price Fund.
