This summer, TMA is offering an assortment of virtual art classes for youth and adult audiences in a range of media.
Explore your creativity for the first time—or the first time in years—at the Toledo Museum of Art. For more than a century, this community resource has offered classes for every age, every experience level, and every schedule. All classes and workshops are related to works of art in the TMA collection.
Students will visit the galleries virtually, learn about some of the iconic works of art, then combine that inspiration with their own creativity at home. Looking for a creative outlet for the kids, wanting to try something new or seeking an opportunity to refine your skills? You’ll find it here.
Three Ways to register
Online Registration is the fastest and preferred method for those using a credit card. Visit our registration page to get started.
To apply a Museum gift card towards a class registration fee, please call 419-255-8000.
If paying by check*, please complete the class registration form and mail with your payment (do not send cash) to:
Toledo Museum of Art
Attn: Class Registration
P.O. Box 1013
Toledo, OH 43697
*All returned checks are subject to a $20 service charge. Registrations must be paid in full to ensure participation. Unpaid registrations will not be accepted.
Scholarships cover 100% of the registration fee for most classes. The Museum has a number of scholarship opportunities available for youth and adult students. Students submitting a Scholarship Application Form cannot register for class in advance. Only one scholarship form may be submitted per class, but multiple forms may be submitted for multiple class requests. Scholarships are competitive and the volume of submissions is high; unfortunately applying does not guarantee automatic approval.
Due to the nature of this summer’s virtual art classes, scholarships are not applicable towards the cost of registration. Please check back for future scholarship opportunities.
Teen Work Study
Teens ages 14-18 have the opportunity to serve as classroom assistants for children’s classes grades K-5. In exchange for their semester-long commitment, they receive one teen art class free of charge that same semester. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Due to the nature of this summer’s virtual art classes, there are no teen work study opportunities through August 2020.
