The black and white patina on this sculpture requires regular maintenance to refresh the artist/foundry applied patina and coatings. Treatment involves thoroughly cleaning the many recesses to remove accumulations of dirt, grime, and build-up from previous year’s coatings, then applying a new protective coating.
