Family Art Club is designed for young children and their grown ups to explore art together. Each workshop session includes all the supplies needed to create a unique work of art inspired by the art and artists in TMA’s collections and special exhibitions.

  • Nov 3, 5, 6: Cork Art! Let your imagination POP! as you create a work of art out of corks.
  • Nov 10, 12, 13: Kings and Queens and Crowns! In celebration of the opening of the exhibition, Age of Armor, become a King or Queen for the day and make your own crown.
  • Nov 17, 19, 20: Paper Bag Puppets! Using the galleries as inspiration, make a puppet using ordinary things that you might find around the house.
  • Nov 24, 26, 27: Gratitude Jars! In the spirit of being thankful, create a gratitude jar and keep track of all the things you are thankful for in your daily life. We are THANKFUL for you!
  • Dec 1, 3, 4: Knights and Dragons! Inspired by the work of art, Saint George and the Dragon-seen in the exhibition Age of Armor, become a knight for a day and make a dragon using a wide variety of supplies.
  • Dec 8, 10, 11: Treasure Boxes! Decorate a box to fill with all your treasures.
  • Dec 15: 17, 18: Ornamental art! Search the galleries for ways artists create decorative art through mediums such as architecture, pottery and furniture and create your own ornamental art inspired by what you see.
  • Dec 22: Handmade Holidays! Homemade gifts are the best! Make something to keep or give away to treasure for years to come.
  • Dec 29, 31, Jan 1: Inspiration Boards! Start the New Year off right by creating a visual collage using images from the TMA collection, including the ideas and projects would like to accomplish in 2022.
