Based on interviews from the newly released book The History of Art Tatum, 1909-1932, by Dr. Imelda Hunt, the piece will enlighten audiences about the famed pianist's genius and talent. Toledo's own Harold Payne, Mary Bell Shelle and others are the sources of revealing anecdotes and interesting facts that will be dramatically translated on stage. Also featured will be Tatum recordings and original solo accompaniments. A book-signing will follow the event.
