Dr. Kara Cooney, professor of Egyptology, explores the reigns of powerful ancient queens to illuminate a time when women ruled the world. Often neglected in the history books, these strong female leaders were considered exceptions to the rule, but their power and influence is undeniable.

When Women Ruled the World is the second event in the inaugural, three-part Nat Geo Live speaker series taking place at the Toledo Museum of Art in 2019. A variety of discounts are available for Museum members, seniors, students, military, and children. Additional savings are available when you purchase tickets for the entire series.

Event parking will be enacted during this event.
During event parking at TMA, guests will be asked to pay for parking in cash prior to entering the lots. Parking is $8 for nonmembers and free for Museum members. Members will be asked to show their membership card to receive free parking. Members unable to show their card will be asked to pay in cash and will be eligible for a refund by bringing their receipt to the Visitor Engagement desk within 7 days.
