Veterans Glassblowing Day returns to the Museum on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018. This nation-wide initiative introduces glassblowing to veterans as a creative outlet and marketable skill. To show its appreciation for those who have or are currently serving in the armed forces, the Toledo Museum of Art is offering FREE glass art workshops and glassblowing demonstrations to veterans and active-duty members of the military. The glass art workshop project for this year’s festivities is a red, white and blue heart.  Sessions will take place at 1, 2, and 3 p.m. in the Glass Pavilion.  Sixteen slots are available for each session and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that family members are unable participate in the glass art workshops but can watch from the audience seating in Hotshop 1; no audience seating is available in Hotshop 2. The glassblowing demonstrations are open to the public.
