Gallery Updates

Exciting Changes Are Underway

If you’ve visited recently, you’ve probably noticed a lot of activity as we work to make the museum more welcoming and inspiring.

• The marble façade has been cleaned for the first time in a decade—its transformation is remarkable.

• Accessible sliding doors with vestibules have been added to the Glass Pavilion to improve entry and comfort.

• Construction is underway on a new temporary exhibition space and updated amenities. To minimize disruptions, materials are being delivered through a special opening in the West façade, allowing us to keep more galleries open for you.

On December 15, 2025, The Great Gallery and several West Wing galleries closed for renovation. Many favorite spaces remain open, including the Classic Court, Wolfe Gallery, The Robert C. and Susan Savage Community Gallery, Glass Pavilion, the Family Center, and more.

We can’t wait for you to experience these enhancements when they’re complete. Every project is designed to make your visit more accessible, welcoming, and inspiring.
