Sarah Hickernell is the Interim Director of Development at the Toledo Museum of Art, before which she spent 2.5 years as the Manager of Development Operations. Hickernell oversees the museum's development, fundraising, and membership initiatives in her role. Originally from Erie, PA, Sarah earned her B.S. in Information Technology and an MBA from American University. With over 20 years of experience in fundraising, database management, and process improvement, she is dedicated to building a better community. She has a passion for collaboration and helping solve community-wide issues. Sarah's additional previous experience includes consulting and fundraising responsibilities with Blackbaud, Owens Community College, YMCA, YWCA, and Girl Scouts. Sarah served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is passionate about coaching, mentoring, and servant leadership.
